Christmas 2009

This was the first Christmas that Owen really got into gift opening, he was a lot of fun and next year we'll have an 8 month old to add to the excitement! Hard to believe...


Grandpa Bud, Namma, Owen, Me and BoBo...Owen would only agree to the photo if we were all holding a tool.

Christmas Eve, the Hubbard boys were completely cooperative for this photo...Owen, not so much. He was feeling pretty silly!

His Aunt Jill will do anything to get him to smile!

Santa brought him a jeep and as soon as he got in, he mashed down on the gas pedal and not knowing it was in reverse, he rammed into the desk holding Santa's cookies!

Grammy got him a Handy Manny that he loves playing with.

A Little Bit About Owen

I thought I should take the time to post a few things about Owen since he just turned three...I can't believe he is becoming such a big boy and I know in a few short months he's going to seem even bigger when his little brother gets here!
His favorite foods and snacks are marshmallows, chips (orange ones espescially), carrots, grapes, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, grilled cheese sandwiches with jelly on top, crackers and fruit snacks.
His favorite shows are the Backyardigans, Tom and Jerry, Wow Wow Wubzy, Max and Ruby, and Ni Hao Kai Lan.
He LOVES playing pirates and is quick to correct anyone if they say Arrr without wearing a proper pirate hat. He also likes to play cowboys but again, I or anyone else must be wearing a cowboy hat before playing with him. :)
He often attaches himself to a particular stuffed animal and always puts a Y at the end of it to give it the proper name, examples: Pandy, Penguiny, Froggy.
He makes Nathan and I laugh everyday, whether it be because of a silly song he makes up or from a mad face he's giving us...I can't imagine what our life would be like without him in it and I look forward to doing it all again soon!

He got really excited when he saw all his intruments, and when we walked out of the party his Uncle Bill asked him if he is going to be a musician when he grows up and he said "No, I'm going to be a one man band" :)

He had the cheesiest smile on his face the entire time we were singing to him, he was loving all the attention!

Date Night

Last Saturday Nathan went hunting so I told Owen instead of Mommy and Daddy going on a date, him and I were going to go on a date. He excitedly said "We are??" We met Amber and Allie for pizza and then went to see Toy Story. The kids squealed with excitement the entire way across the parking lot into the theater.

More Jamaica

Since I've been getting grief about only posting five pictures of Jamaica, here's a few more...with a few more to come.




Fell asleep eating his pizza, he looks soooo sweet when he's sleeping!

He had such a hard time not getting in the water since the wedding was on the beach, although he was extremely grumpy, he did good.

California 2009

We recently took a trip to California to see my cousin Sarah and my friend LaTisha. Owen's first airplane ride was a good one and the trip was a lot of fun...he says his favorite part of the trip was riding the horses (carousels)!
