A First on the Fourth

We went to Nathan's aunt and uncles's for their annual Fourth of July get together and although Owen wasn't much into the big fireworks, we all had a great time. After the first set of fireworks, he picked up his little bag chair and said "Come on Dad, it's time to go home and take a nap."

I have never really liked sparklers but he did and I was a nervous wreck as I watched him enjoy it!
Up in the treehouse.

"Baby Jack" is getting so big!

Owen and his cousin Talan got really good at saying "Cheeeeese"

What beautiful blue eyes!

They thought they were pretty big stuff walking down to where the big kids were doing fireworks and here they're pleading their case as to where they were going.

We told them to put their arms around each other but instead they put them around themselves!

Swimming Lesses

We started "swimming lesses", as he calls them on Monday and to my surprise, he loves it!

Getting ready to go...he kept saying "Can I get in now? Ask the teacher if I can get in"

He always starts out in the kiddie pool to get used to the water and the first night when we had been in the deep end for a while, he said he wanted to go to the cat pool...after we left it hit me that he thought the kiddie pool was the kitty pool.

Loving the kick board

Wiping his eyes after jumping in to me, I think he would do that the whole time if he could!

Enjoying some pink ice cream on our way home.

Silver Dollar City

Mom and I took Eli, Clayton and Owen to Silver Dollar City on Tuesday. Despite getting really hot, we all had a great time and Owen is ready to go back.

Trying to adjust to the cold water hitting him.

Namma convinced him to run through the water with her.

Completely embracing the cold water!

He doesn't look like it in the photo but he loved riding the frogs.

Painting in his new sherriff's hat.

Worn out.

Puppy Love

I told him to get by Tug so he squatted down and said "Like this Mom?" He makes me laugh everyday.

This is Brodie, my friend Stefanie's dog we kept for a week while she was on vacation. Owen had a lot of fun playing with him.

Brodie didn't listen to us very well so instead of telling him to lay down, I just put him right in front of Owen and told him to hold him so he didn't go anywhere. He stayed there just long enough to get the picture!

Every time we're on the front porch Owen climbs up and down the porch rails and always says "See Mommy!"

A New Phase

This is Owen's latest...sitting down somewhere and pouting. Nathan and I try really hard not to laugh but it's pretty funny! What's even funnier is that he can go from this to being happy in about two minutes.

Fun Times

At Landry's in Branson celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary.

Owen and his cousin Haden riding the chuck wagon.

He loves to wear his backpack and says he is going to school when he's four...that's going to be here before I know it!

Walking up from the creek.

Running to Mommy!
