The Lollipop Kids

We recently met Amber and Allie at St John's to see a friend's new baby and Allie and Owen had a ball in the lobby! They each got a balloon and a sucker that occupied their time quite nicely.

I simply said, "Say Cheese!"

Taking a break from their suckers for a kiss, isn't it funny how Allie's eyes are closed and Owen's are open?

Two Little Monkeys

Owen and Easton have become pretty good at being mischievous little boys. I'm afraid this is only the beginning...

Easton taught Owen how to paint mud on everything with a stick, including the front porch rails.

Then I think Owen taught Easton how to threaten Tug, or maybe they were discussing painting him.
Easton got up there by himself and I heard him yelling: "Aunt B look at me!!" I couldn't resist putting Owen up there with him.

They thought they were pretty big stuff.

Cheese!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Owen had a little Valentine's Day party at his Grandma Shirley's last week and I left my camera there with her so she could capture the events of the day. Grandma Shirley and PaPa Bud keep him during the week and he only knows them as his grandparents because they love him and treat him like family. Leaving him to go to work is the hardest thing to do as a parent but knowing such great people are helping us raise him makes all the difference in the world!

They had spaghetti for lunch and looks like he's not worrying about having good manners in front of his two girlfriends Kyndell and Kamryn!

Him and his good friend Andrew working on their Valentines for their Mommy and Daddy.

The finished product. Shirley had taken a picture of him in his cowboy hat and he glued it on for us. He informed Nathan and I that the elephant is Daddy and the giraffe is Mommy (I'm glad I wasn't the elephant!)

This was taken on Valentine's Day, doesn't he look so big??

Panama Owen

When we were at my grandparents' house yesterday, Owen borrowed my aunt's Panama Jack hat (that he wore backwards) and excitedly played with an ancient gun that doesn't work anymore.

Getting ready for the next group of birds to fly by.

Contemplating the awful thought of having to leave the gun behind, or maybe he's contemplating how silly he looks in that hat.

This is just no fair.

"But Mommy I neeeed that gun." If you look close you can see the tears welled up in his sad little eyes.

Welcome Baby Jack

Nathan's sister Kylie and her fiance John had a beautiful baby boy on January 23. When we went to see them in the hospital I realized we should get Owen out more often because when looking at the big revolving door he said "It's amazing!", then inside the lobby there was a large bronze statue of a woman and as he put his hands on the base of it he said "She's beautiful."

When he first got to him lastnight he said, "Hi baby" in a soft little voice, I kept telling him that I thought Jack really liked him and he agreed.

I told Owen to lay really still for this picture and he actually did! There's quite a size difference now but I bet before we know it they will be pretty comparable.

Babies always look so peaceful when they're sleeping!

John put him up there so he could "ride his horse" as he does at home and as soon as he got up there he asked John if he had a gun...John regrettfully said no.

We were on our way out the door when I asked Owen if he needed to go pee before we left and he said "No, I need to go poop!" Nathan and I both tried to convince him to just go pee since his pooping requires taking off his pants and undies and usually lasts at least 15 minutes but his mind was set and so we waited...20 minutes.
