Three Little Ducklings

When I went to pick Owen up Tuesday, he and the girls were having a blast playing in the mud and running around. I patiently waited until he was done because I know how fortunate I am that he loves to be at Grandma Shirley's with his best friends every day!
Walking through mud puddles is a must at Grandma Shirley's.
The usual...Kendall loving on Owen while Kamryn smiles for the camera!

Climbing the gate...and yelling Rusty (the horse).

St. Louis

I'm a little late posting this but we went to St. Louis with Shane and Amber a couple weeks ago and had a great time. We toured the brewery, went to the arch and to a Cardinals game.

Thanks to my Uncle Dave's nice friends, we got to sit on the first row of the first base line!

Bases loaded, one out, Albert Pujols is up to bat. Amber, being a Cubs fan, sits back in her chair and says "Too much pressure"...then on the first pitch: GRANDSLAM! It almost went out of the park and he hit his 1000th RBI mark.

Happy Birthday Easton

Easton turned 3 last Friday and had a big party outside. The best part of it all was his big gift, a John Deere gator! Him and Owen were hilarious in it because they kept slamming on the gas and not steering in any way. After a couple of minutes Owen said "My turn!" and Easton willingly got out, went around to the passenger side and let Owen drive. Too cute.

Going really fast and holding on for dear life!

I almost didn't post this picture because of the evil look on Owen's face, I think this is where they were about to run into me!

Roasting a marshmallow, all by himself.

Brian and I are lucky enough to be able to see all four of our grandparents on a regular basis and watch them enjoy our own kids.
Easton was in a generous mood that night to let Owen help him with the candles and drive his new gator!

Easter Weekend

We colored eggs Friday evening and I was trying to let Owen help me as much as he could so after he put a tablet into each cup I turned my back to get the vinegar and I heard him say "Mommy this is yucky!" I guess he decided they looked good enough to eat, but in his defense, they do kind of look like sweet tarts!

I've relaxed quite a bit as a parent because a year ago I probably would have called Poison Control...instead I told him not to move so I could go get my camera.

He looks a little too proud of himself here.

On Saturday we went to Bennett Springs to have an Easter picnic with some of Nathan's family. Owen had a great time walking through the water and watching all the fishermen.

I had to carry him the entire way back from our long walk, except through the water of course!

Sunday we went to church, then to my grandma's for lunch, then to my parents' house to get his Easter basket...which included several things but the biggest hit was the Pringles. He gets his love of chips from his mommy and his PaPa Duane.

Being silly as usual!

Playing at the Park

I took Owen to the park yesterday after work and we had such a good time. His imagination is growing everyday and in five minutes he managed to drive down the road, ride a horse, and shoot a bear. He is so much fun, I just love him more than I ever thought possible!

I love this picture!
Kicked back, taking a break from driving.

When I went to the car to get my camera this is what I saw...I took this picture as I was quickly making back over to him! (This is why Nathan calls him Monkey)

Best Buddy

No matter how old Owen gets, I will probably always love pictures of him sleeping. I can still picture him as a baby when I look at him asleep, it seems like just yesterday that he was a baby and I cannot believe how fast the time goes by. Everyday I wish I could be a stay at home mom but at the same time I love what I do at work and I know that Owen loves to go to Grandma Shirley's. My mom always tells me that Brian and I turned out fine and she worked full time and that's what I always tell myself.
He's holding Buster, he recently became attached to him and takes him everywhere we go. The other day he said "he's not a baby, he's a bear", just in case anyone asks I guess. He says he his best buddy. I was playing a children's cd in the car Saturday and he said "Mommy, Buster says he doesn't like this song", there's no telling what Buster could start being blamed for.

Double Trouble

We had a busy weekend...as always, it seems! Friday night we went to Grammy's house, Saturday night we went to Namma's house, Sunday we went to church, then to Gram's house, then to PaPa Bill's house Sunday night. We're ready for the work week so we can rest! Here's some of what Owen did in the last week.

Aunt Jill was nice enough to take Owen and Easton for a ride last week, I'm pretty sure they had to be bribed with marshmallows to get off of it.

I'm not really sure what he's doing here, other than looking silly!

Eating pecan pie, drumming on Namma's antique cups and laughing hysterically at Eli. How much more fun could two little boys have??

Thanks to Eli looking really silly, I was able to get some great "real" smiles.

Love Is In The Air

We recently spent the weekend with Shane, Amber and Allie in Kimberling City and despite the cold weather, we had a great time. Amber and I went shopping on Saturday and the guys went fishing on Sunday. Allie and Owen got some quality time together, complete with a proposal!

Cheese!
Relaxing at the lake

Life doesn't get any better than this!

"Allie, I wuv you very much and I want to marry you"...

"I said yes Mommy!"
